THE THERAPEUTIC GROCERY TRIP
I went grocery shopping today at my favorite Asian supermarket. One of my favorite things to do in life is grocery shopping. ᡣ𐭩 Maybe it’s because I went so much with my Mom when I was younger, but it’s just so healing and therapeutic to me (especially when you beat the rush and go there super early in the morning!) I had my AirPod in and I felt like I was in a slice of life anime or a drama. It really makes me feel like the independent young woman that I’ve tirelessly built myself to become.
We take so much for granted in life like being able to eat, stay under a roof and 4-walls, and being able to wake up everyday. Our bodies work so hard for us everyday. We are never promised tomorrow, so it’s always important to live in the moment and take a moment to smell the roses.
As I’m writing this I’m still full from my last meal and I’m going to get some more work done with the energy I received from the nourishment. This is going to be a good year, even if things don’t go as planned, just see it as divine intervention. I think this year’s theme will be based on the philosophy of developing a soft life for yourself in whatever way you can. To me, a soft life is doing what you love and living in the moment, even if it feels difficult during that time. You should strive to feel carefree and content, even though there are so many things to be anxious or in your head about. While I’m a hedonistic baddie, I’m also a realist (my Capricorn rising ♑️ ) so of course this doesn’t imply that you should be careless when it comes to your responsibilities, still get what you need to get done to survive in this ruthless world, but try to find a balance in between all of the chaos, pain, and unforeseen circumstances, and just know that everything will be ok. sigh
Real luxury is curated by your own inner-world. It’s a very personal matter, and it’s unique to everybody. Life is not perfect by any means but it doesn’t have to be and it never will be. It’s about getting through each day and making the best out of your circumstances. Love your journey and love your resilience! Once you see that it’s about comes back full circle.
